This week's Star of the Week is my dear friend Kelly!
Kelly and I met way back in 2002 when I made the decision to go to massage therapy school. Kelly was one of just 8 other people in my class, and because there were so few of us in the program, several of us became quite close during the time we were enrolled.
It's now almost 20 years later, and even though we don't see each other all that often (Kelly moved to the beach, hooray for her!), I still consider her to be a good friend. When we do get together, it's like no time has passed at all, which I think is a rare thing to find in a friendship these days!
There are SO many wonderful things that I can tell you about Kelly! I often say to Tom that there are very few people that I would trade places with in life, but Kelly is one of them!!!
She is such a sweet soul – a caring, compassionate, and tremendously creative person. I totally see her as being a free spirit (I don't know if she sees herself that way), which is something I admire tremendously because I am not one!!!
I left the field of massage therapy a little over a decade ago, but Kelly is still going strong! If you find yourself in the Wilmington, NC area, you should absolutely contact her for a massage. But her practice doesn't stop there! Kelly uses some cool modalities like cupping and reiki as well. She is also a Certified Hypnotherapist, specializing in Transpersonal Hypnotherapy and past life regression.
In addition to being a skilled massage therapist, Kelly is an extremely talented artist! She does everything from painting to making Orgonite pyramids. Her work is amazing, and you can check it out here!
But what I love the most about Kelly is that she LOVES to laugh! Just as much as I do!!! It is very rare for me to make such a bold statement, but it's true! Any time we get together (often with our friend Lisa G.!), we spend a tremendous amount of time laughing so hard that half the time I can't remember what it was that we started laughing about!
We always have huge smiles on our faces whenever we are together. Check us out!!!
I don't feel like these pictures adequately convey the extent to which we are always laughing when we are together, but I decided to spare Kelly the embarrassment of posting photos of some of our more outrageous and hilarious outings!!
I LOVED writing this posting and looking through all of the old photos of Kelly and me together! It brings me a tremendous amount of joy to present this week's Star of the Week award to Kelly!!! Please join me in congratulating her in the comments!
