This week, I am proud to present the Gold Star of the Week award to my dear friend Laura!
Laura and I met through a mutual friend not long after I moved to North Carolina 20 years ago, so we have known each other for quite a while!
In addition to being my good friend, Laura is also my massage therapist, and she is a fabulous one at that! If you are in the Raleigh area, I highly recommend making an appointment with her!! Please check out her website for more info!
You may not know that I was also a massage therapist for several years in the mid 2000s. I had a small corporate chair massage business for a while, and Laura often accompanied me when I had a job or an event that required more than one therapist. Laura is extremely easy to get along with, and it was always a pleasure to work with her!
Laura is also an amazing Nia instructor! If you've never heard of Nia, it's a form of exercise that combines dance, martial arts, and mindfulness. You can check out the official Nia website here, and you can find out more about Laura's classes on her website.
I haven't hung out with Laura on a very consistent basis over the years, but whenever we do get together, I always have a great time! Laura is a very fun person who is always up for an adventure! She is also always happy to get together for an adult beverage, which is something that I highly value! 😁
Another thing that I love about Laura is that she is super supportive of my business endeavors! I mean seriously supportive!! She comes on all of my walking tours, and she consistently shares my Facebook tour posts with her friends and family. She is one of my biggest cheerleaders, and I will be forever grateful for her support!
I also appreciate that Laura shares my love of all things purple, and I absolutely love the touches of purple that appear whenever we communicate by text, email, and even video (Laura is a a fantastic creator of videos!!). 💜💜💜
I cannot say enough good things about Laura! She is such a warm, caring, kind, and empathetic person, and I am so grateful to have her as a friend!
Here are a few photos of the two of us over the years. The first one on the left, which was taken back in 2012, is really one of my favorite photos of all time! We both look so happy!! Although now that I look at these photos, we both tend to look pretty happy any time we have our picture taken together! 😊
